Supported Shared Housing

Available in Swansea , Bridgend , Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire , these projects provide much-needed housing for single people aged 18-64.  As well as getting a single bedroom in a fully furnished shared house, tenants receive ongoing support advice and advocacy from staff.

Support Schemes

Available in Cardiff , Neath Port Talbot and Swansea, our Support Projects offer friendly advice and help to council tenants who might be unsure of their responsibilities as a tenant or who are finding it difficult to manage their homes.

As well as practical assistance and advice on budgeting, benefits and other relevant support agencies, support workers are skilled at listening and giving emotional support to help people cope with the impact of their circumstances.  This one-to-one help helps increase the client’s confidence so that they can start living independently.

Young Persons Scheme

Aimed at preventing homelessness, this Neath Port Talbot based service offers 16-25 yr olds advice on establishing and maintaining their tenancies.  Staff work one-to-one with clients, offering practical assistance with budgeting and benefits as well as recommending support agencies where necessary.

Aberfa Project

Our Swansea based Aberfa Project provides 24/7 housing and support.  It sprang from a partnership between Caer Las Cymru, Tai Esgyn and Swansea Housing Association , and supports client with complex mental health problems that might have been exacerbated by substance abuse or behavioural problems.

As well as having a roof over their heads, clients are given around-the-clock support with daily living skills.  They are also given opportunities to develop their social network and advice on how to maintain their physical and mental health.
